"Les & Olga Culver took care of our dog Brownie for several days while we were out of town on business. Brownie was a wonderful dog in many ways (part Rhodesian Ridgeback and part Pit Bull) but she was canine aggressive and also very muscular and strong. The Culvers did a fantastic job taking care of her, walking her several times a day (not an easy task at all), giving her lots of love and attention. We were nervous leaving her with someone other than us for several days because we knew how strong and aggressive she could be, but Les and Olga did an amazing job with her and I would not hesitate to have them look after Brownie in the future. Five star recommendation."

"The Culvers are trustworthy, attentive and highly dependable people to care for your pet. Their love for dogs is inimitable and it truly shines in their approach to this calling. We highly recommend them to the most discriminating dog aficionados."

       —Richard and Masha Liukis

"Olga and Les took wonderful care of our Golden Retriever. Our dog was so happy and content—and thoroughly enjoyed the homemade organic dog biscuits that were tailor made just for her! She was showered with love and personal attention. We could not have been happier with the care she received and highly recommend Les and Olga's homestay service."

       —Christiane and Billy Carman

"I first came to know Olga and Les as their agility instructor. As time progressed, I came to value them as dear friends. I saw how they totally changed their life for their dog, Pie, when he was diagnosed with epilepsy. They did everything possible to give Pie the very best. In my 30-plus years with dogs, there have been very few people I would be willing to leave my dogs with. Les and Olga are one of the few I could totally trust. Any dog would happily spend time with them and be better for it."

It starts with a first visit. You get to meet us and our Border Collie Leera. We get to know you and your companion. We share in their story. There is a detailed questionnaire that allows us to learn about what motivates your tail-wagger, potential behavioral challenges, as well as individual needs worthy of attention. From here, we are able to develop a personalized "program" to make the upcoming stay both enriching and fulfilling.

We welcome dogs of all ages from golden oldies to younger pups including those who are undergoing personal challenges, i.e., ownership transition and other life events. We also are open to accommodate dogs with sensitivity issues, reactive disorders, or even more challenging medical conditions, such as epilepsy.

We only book one client at a time, though we will consider multiple dogs from the same family. This way, your dog is assured a more intimate stay with a plenitude of supervised interaction in the safest and surest environment.

Our aim is to create an "extraordinary experience" for your boy or girl that includes progressive engagement in active, methodical, and enjoyable pursuits. Our esteemed guests roam freely in a chemical-free mandated home and typically receive five-plus hours of direct interaction per day.

These activities are also supported by a written daily schedule, as well as text and pictorial mementos sent to you of selected recreational outcomes.

We encourage you as our clients to share any thoughts on helping to co-create a memorable adventure!

Hi, we're Les and Olga Culver. Our love of dogs has brought us on an amazing journey over the past many years culminating with the creation of our premier homestay retreat. It was brought into being out of a desire to give our canine friends a fun place to realize themselves.

We both grew up with dogs—hunting hounds, show dogs, as well as exceedingly spoiled pet companions. We adopted our first dog, Katie, a border collie mix rescue in 2002. Her introduction served as an entry point into the discipline of obedience training that led to deeper study of traditional and balanced training methods. We later extended that experience into the sports of dog agility and herding.

We've worked with top dog professionals over the years to become competent in a number of fields ranging from canine health and welfare to situational response training and body language to dog psychology and motivation.

We love animals and especially all things dog. These wonderful and compassionate creatures are a vortex of joy. They keep us alive, curious, and always learning!

We believe that love is the servant of life and all life is one. As such, we work to build emotional bonds and are driven by the desire to enrich our clients' lives as if they were our own. Every dog we care for becomes part of our family, which is why we offer only the best of the best—all within the comfort of our own home.

Our structured residency program (that includes outings, exercise, behavioral training, social time, hygiene/grooming, rest time, playtime, and mealtimes) allows our guests to settle in quickly and easily. We cater to each dog's individual needs in a safe, controlled, quality environment so you can relax and enjoy your holiday knowing your dog will be in the best of hands.

"Olga+Les stayed at our home for several months in the summer of 2015 and took care of our two dogs—they have never been in better hands!"

"Les and Olga Culver took care of my dog, Skyler, at a critical time for me. Skyler was just a few months old when I had to take an unexpected out-of-state trip. I did not want to send her to a typical kennel where the dogs are caged all day, so I asked other dog owners in my neighborhood what they did if they had to board their dog. Everyone I spoke to mentioned Les and Olga, and had wonderful things to say. That clinched it for me and I hired them to dog sit for me. They were wonderful! They sent me a daily email update with photos. I also called a couple of times and they always had time to speak to me. This eased my mind and enabled me to enjoy the wedding I was attending. When I returned, Skyler was her usual happy self. I am very grateful to Les and Olga as they took care of Skyler as if she were their own dog. I completely recommend the Culvers for any dog sitting needs you may have. It’s wonderful to have a go-to person if you have to leave your dog for a few days or a few weeks."

"I was fortunate to meet Les and Olga when they came to the ranch for training. They were excellent students and took the responsibility of training a well-mannered family member seriously.

They are dedicated dog owners, diligent in both husbandry and obedience training. Occasionally, I must leave one of my dogs home when I travel, and Les and Olga have been a blessing.

As a dog professional and national-level sheep herding competitor, I am very discriminating about who I trust my dogs with, especially given that they serve as expert partners with years of invested training. Les and Olga possess a deep commitment to total care that puts them among the best out there.

They always send the cutest pictures of my dog having fun with various adventures, shopping at the local pet store, leash outings to the park, playing mental enrichment games, and sporting fashionable clothing.

They are the most conscientious dog owners I have ever met, and I can’t think of anyone I would rather have watch my dogs. Beyond that, my dogs adore them!"
